This meets three times a year and acts as the link between the trustee board and the grass roots of the association. The council consists of all 20 area chairmen together with the national chairman, the chief executive, the national volunteer chairmen and a selection of trustees.
The advisory council is the major conduit through which grass roots issues can be raised at NADFAS House and also that ideas and proposals from the trustee board can be communicated to the membership.
The local response to this process is the biannual area meeting at which the area chairman makes a report from the advisory council and takes soundings to carry to the next one. If anyone has any points they would like to raise, they are welcome to email the Area Chairman and can be assured that their ideas will be carefully considered and passed on as appropriate.
