The National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies is an arts based educational charity with over 350 member societies in the U.K, Europe, Australia and New Zealand which have over 95,000 members. The aims are 'to promote and advance the aesthetic education of  the public, the appreciation and study of decorative and fine arts, and the giving of aid to the preservation of our artistic heritage for the benefit of the public'.

These aims are promoted through lectures on decorative and fine arts, study days, visits, tours and through volunteer activities such as Church Recorders, Heritage Volunteers and Young Arts.

The headquarters at NADFAS House operates departments that correspond to the activities of member societies, such as Finance, Education, Volunteers etc. as well as commercial sections that produce the Review (a quarterly magazine sent directly to members free of charge) and sell NADFAS merchandise.

A vital aspect of NADFAS is the maintenance of a directory of accredited lecturers so as to ensure the highest standards of presentation and content in all society lectures. To find out what lectures are on offers, programme secretaries attend the Annual Directory Meeting in London - Click on News for pictures of the ADM.
