In Memoriam....Music to Die For!
From the time of the Elizabethans down to the 20th Century, composers have reserved some of their finest musical expressions to mark the lives of the departed. This Study Day explors the cream of these works including John Blow's Ode on the Death of Henry Purcell, Mozart's Requiem Mass, the closing scene of Briiten's Owen Wyngrave and various other elegies and odes- not all of them as reverent as one might expect! Central to the day will be a performance of music drawn from this inspiring repetoire, during which Peter Medhurst will be joined by guest musicians.
The South West Area of Nadfas is very grateful to the Bryan Foster Music Trust for their generous support of this Study Day.
NB: The area study day organiser has a policy of no ticket refunds unless there is a waiting list on this study day
